From the Plaza de Mayo, the Avenida de Mayo runs west under its balconies and domes: the Gran Café Tortoni at number 825, the Palacio Barolo at 1370, and the domed Congress at its end, with the restored Confitería del Molino on the corner opposite. Cross the Avenida 9 de Julio halfway for the view to the Obelisco.
