About San Telmo on a Sunday
Start at the Plaza de Mayo and walk south down the Calle Defensa, the old road out of the colonial city. On Sundays the Feria de San Telmo fills it with stalls; stop at the Mercado de San Telmo, watch the tango in the Plaza Dorrego, and carry on to the Parque Lezama. The Museo Moderno is a block off Defensa on the Avenida San Juan.
