About The Plaza de Mayo and the Cabildo
The Plaza de Mayo is the oldest square in Buenos Aires. On it stand the white colonial Cabildo, the old town hall; the Catedral Metropolitana, with its neoclassical portico; and, at the river end, the Casa Rosada, the pink seat of the national government.
